perception misconception?

So I mentioned my job with Perception-Ink. I really enjoy the work I'm doing, the clients I'm meeting but over a week ago there was a major miscommunication issue. I was freelancing for a friend of my boss and ran out of time to make the calls I needed to make. I took my dancers to dance camp, caught the worst cold I've had in a while, lost my voice and cell phone reception! Ugh, awful. I pre-planned before I left and blocked out times to work on the project and keep connected with these women during the week but without a voice or reception, it didn't work out.

Everything is fine now but I still feel terrible and irresponsible, even if there was very little I could have done.... no computer and the town library was under construction!

The whole fiasco made me realize one thing. There will never be good timing for anything ever again. There is never a good time to make media calls because there will always been 10 other things to do, not to mention the extras that pop up along the way. So if I want to do p.r. I better get ready for never having a "normal" life, it just won't happen. And if there will never be a good time to do anything ever again all I can do is work hard, make a few sacrifices, recognize what I can and can't handle and enjoy those free moments... like the walk to get coffee or sitting in traffic on the way to dance practice.
